Literally. There's no one here. There was some hammering outside but it suddenly stopped and now there's just the hammer. Our security guard's gone too.

Don't know where Mum and the maid went. They were cooking lunch...and now they've disappeared. The chicken's still frying.

I've been left behind, it looks like. The sky's a lot brighter than I expected. I thought I saw something that looked like people floating, but might be just a plane or some smog or something.
